The movie has gotten rave reviews and garnered lots of attention mainly because of its amazing ensemble cast. Julia Roberts. Bradley Coopper, Jessica Biel, Jessica Alba, Jennifer Garner, Emma Roberts, Taylor Lautner! And so many more! Honestly we can't wait, us girls I mean. The long wait will be over this Thursday March 12! Welcome Seniors to our fave activity!

Just Watched: Percy Jackson and the Olympians: The Lighting Thief

This weekend, after all the chaos and tears, I finally got around to making my way to the movie theater, Mind you I was in business mode about watching the movie and then the worst thing possible happened, it was dubbed! I swear I almost cried! After all the running fighting and putting up with insufferable and running against time and finding something to wear, and not to mention the 5 months long wait to watch it I was seriously disappointed but sucked in a breath and stayed. It was just so amazing! and totally worth the wait! I can honestly predict near Harry Potter like insanity! Yes, the movie is Percy Jackson and the Olympians! To be honest what impressed me the most was the great performance by Logan Lerman who plays the title character. For someone our age he was able to maintain himself out of playing Percy and became him. Its just amazing to see the Olympian world come to life in our culture without it being overdone. I can't for the next! So people instead of comparing and judging a book by its cover give the handsome Percy a chance it might not disappoint you!

Our Little Experiment!

I can't believe we finally got a project that can actually be fun and something I really know about, yes our class project is blogging but here's the fun, we can blog about whatever we want! I'm a movie junkie and to me there is no such thing as a trully bad movie. just the fact that there is a train of thought and someone's effort makes it ok! Yes, I'll admit the world could produce better movis with such great untaped talents wasting away in the world that we can only hope we'll eventually watch how their amazing little minds work. So, for today I guess that's it! I'm sure Alejandra and I will have a blast working on this blog! Love You Ale

Valentines Day

The Bigger Picture: Meet Liz (Anne Hathaway), a phone-sex operator dating a mail-room dude (Topher Grace). And now meet Julia (Jennifer Garner), a teacher falling for a married cardiologist (Patrick Dempsey) while being crushed on by an elementary school boy. And now say hi to Some Girl (Emma Roberts), who is trying to lose her virginity with That Guy Over There.

And that's—literally—not even the half of it.

Valentine's Day isn't so much a story as it is a very tightly packed box of mash notes, each one telling a story about a pair of adorable people making their way through the pinkest and second most commercial day of the year.

Each subplot is pretty predictable—or, at least, it should be. One third-act reveal managed to shock the audience at a recent screening, despite some pretty overt clues. But veteran director Garry Marshall (Pretty Woman) isn't really about the surprises in the chocolate box. He's more interested in reminding us about how sweet it all is.

To the movie's credit, Valentine's Day is packed with talent; we haven't even gotten to the oddly funny Taylor Swift, or legendary Shirley MacLaine, or the perfectly serviceable Ashton Kutcher and Jessica Biel—or actual A-lister Julia Roberts.

With few exceptions, Marshall presents each star at the maximum of his or her talents; in the few precious moments when Roberts owns the screen, she also owns the whole movie.

But in the end, the movie's star cast is more of a curse than a blessing. Just as one actor manages to capture our hearts on sheer charisma alone (like I said, the stories aren't exactly original), Marshall jerks us away and into another minidrama. And we can't help feeling like we're jumping back into the dating pool all over again.Read more:
